Joined the NSHL: Season One
Statement:
I created the league after a few seasons running fantasy leagues online because of all the hype around simulated hockey. I've never been a fan of the 'corporate' leagues because there's no input allowed and really no 'desire' behind those running the league to add-on the tiny details that we in the NSHL sometimes take for granted.
I strive to make the league more interesting with each season in order to keep interest at a high. The league started out with a small base in its beta season and has since expanded to 24 teams.
Responsibilities:
As Commissioner the responsibilities to the league are in every aspect of everything done involving the NSHL. Not only does the Commissioner maintain the website and produce the updates but constantly determine what the league lacks and find new and exciting ventures to keep things interesting.

The VP of League Operations is a position hand-picked by the Commissioner as the 'second in command' and someone who has complete understanding of the league in its entirety.
The VP is responsible for enforcing league rules and determining any necessary amendments to current rules based on how things unfold. This job also requires a close working relationship with the Commissioner and the NSHLPA in order to stay up-to-date with the goings on in the league.

The NSHL Player Agent (NSHLPA) is a position voted on each season by the GMs of the league. The position requires a very flexible availability and a strong working relationship with GMs.
The Player Agent is responsible for negotiating and monitoring contracts, staying up-to-date with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and representing the players and fighting for their best interest.

Joined the NSHL: Season Two
Statement:
After much reluctance about joining a sim league I joined the NSHL just prior to the start of season 2 and have never looked back. Probably by season 3 I started providing input to Jay regarding the league and since then have taken on various roles and responsibilities.
I do my best to look at the league from all perspectives, find ways to make things better and offer my support to GMs and league officials.
Responsibilities:
The role of the Official Opposition Leader is to try and represent the voice of GMs that don't want to publicly comment or make waves. This role is also and a bit of a devil's advocate when league management presents changes and new ideas. The goal of this position is to be an arbitrary voice that GMs can voice concerns to and then those collective concerns can be compiled and presented to the league keeping the GM's anonymous.
